Contrary to current popular belief, the term, “Bless Up” was not created by the artist/person that its use is noted for (no disrespect intended!). The writer of this post has heard this term, “Bless Up” used for about a decade (or more) by reggae aficionado’s, Rastafarians and general spiritualists on the streets of NY, NJ, Philadelphia as well as on reggae radio. Recently, the term has begun to “catch on” with the mainstream by its use by a certain successful and respected DJ and music artist (respect due!). It is a positive, verbal affirmation of “blessings” and “spiritual good will” towards its recipients.
With that being stated, the founder of this company, Bless Up Media LLC, thought that since it embodies a positive lifestyle theme connected to spirituality, he named the company after it and designed its logo (all of which is still being tweaked, lol).
Bless Up Media (aka affectionately as B.U.M.) is a independent media company based on Long Island (aka Strong Island), NY. We specialize in socially responsible, multi-genre media of all sorts including Internet, broadcast and streaming: radio, television/video/movies, music/recording and eventually current events and international news. We currently have our own recording and video studios and will expand into radio and television station ownership shortly in the future. We intend to become a media giant providing realistic, unbiased, socially responsible media to the world! All, hopefully, with your love and support!
